Leave me a comment about the trip to the creek today (8-3) or turn in a written response tomorrow.
Include  the normal items plus: compared to, and  when we are done with the job we are doing....

Today it was sunny and a little chilly at the creek. Today I was the water people assistant. I carried the bucket down to the sites and I marked the tide at site 1. Today the tide was unusually low and the tide at sight 1 was coming in and at site 2 it was going out, compared to last time where the tide was going out for both site 1 and site 2. Today many people were not doing jobs and just walking around and when you are done with your job you help someone else do their job. It was really strange that at both sites the water was really low tide. I would like to test the turbidity next time. I wonder why at site 1 the tide was coming in and at site 2 the water was continuing to go out.

When we went to the creek on December 22 it was mostly sunny. There were cirrus clouds and it was 50% cloud cover. It 14 degrees Celsius and the wind speed was 3.3 knots with gusts of 16.4 knots. The wind was coming from the northwest. The last test showed that it was 75 % cloud cover and compared to this test it was 25% more. Compared to the last test the temperature was about 4 degrees warmer from 14 degrees. The previous test showed that the wind speed was 4.5 knots with and there were gusts of 9.1. Compared to the last test, this test was a little windier. The tide was extremely far out and was coming in. At Site 1 the waves were 1.5 meters and compared to lat time this was about a meter higher. The temperature of the water at Site 1 was 11.3. At Site 2 there were no waves which were about the same as last time. The temperature of the water was 11.5 degrees. The water at the top was flowing 0.25 meters per second and at the bottom it was 0.15 m/s. The water was so low that there was a sandbar but the water was coming in very fast. Are any of the tests related? Rachel

The creek was windy today and there were some precipitation. The wind speed decreased but the wind gusts increased by a lot. The wind gusts were 16.4 compared to last time when it was 9.1. The temperature was 11.3 at site one compared to site two which was 11.5 degrees Celsius. The turbidity was 47 at site one compared to site two which was 93. At the creek today I help collect the pH level, it was 7.8 at both sites. At site one the wave length was around 1.5 compared to site two which was 0. The salinity of the water at both sites is decreasing rapidly each time we collect new data especially at site two. There were cirrus clouds in the sky today. Everything went well when collecting data except that some sand got stuck in the explorer data collector I was using but I eventually got it out. I wonder why the pH levels were exactly the same at both sites. Next time I want to go into the water because I like collecting the data.

Today there was precipitation at the creek and it was 11.3 for the temp. Today I did the wind, the wind speed was nw at a ave of 3.3 and high of 16.4 last time the ave was 4.5 and a high of 9.1. The reason for my job is to measure the wind speed at the creek to compare to before. There was one problem one of the readers was about to run out of charge. A thing was that it was the winter equanox, so the tide was verry far out. I was wondering why would the equanox take the tide out. a job i would like to do next is going into the water.

Today, the creek was breezy and there was little precipitation. I was one of the salinity measurers. To do this job, someone must put the salinity measuring device in to the bucket of water. Next take the device out and record measurement. Do this 2 more times. After that, think of a mode of the number and then tell the recorder what you got. The results for my job is 25.Compared to our last visit, the salinity has been getting lower. Some problems that took place Is that most of the students did not help someone else when done with their job. An example of a strange that occurred today would be that the tide was coming in site 1 and site 2 the tide was in. I would like to do wind speed measuring next time.
